Commitment to Inclusion and Outreach

With ULI Triangle’s growth, we are thrilled to welcome new committee leadership, voices, and diverse backgrounds to our rebranded Inclusion and Outreach Committee (formerly DEI Committee). In alignment with ULI Americas’ strategy, we aim to lead by example to effect meaningful change within the local market.

Our Updated Mission

The committee’s new name reflects our updated purpose and mission: advancing inclusion and representation across demographics. This includes race, age, economic status, LGBTQIA+ identities, and individuals of all abilities within the real estate and land use sectors.

2025 Objectives – For the upcoming year, we are focused on:

• Engaging Underrepresented Communities: Bringing historically underrepresented groups within ULI Triangle’s membership and reaching out to new audiences.
• Creating Industry Pathways: Opening doors for students, professionals of color, and underserved individuals transitioning into the industry.
• Increasing Collaboration: Working closely with other ULI Triangle committees to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion into programs and events.
• Developing Inclusive Content: Creating and convening conversations about inclusion and real estate to provide actionable strategies for members. This includes speaker recommendations, selecting event locations, supporting local businesses, and introducing diverse leaders and voices in the community.

Ongoing Activities – Our committee will continue to:

• Feature Monthly Inclusion and Outreach Spotlights: Highlighting individuals and engaging topics leading inclusion and outreach topics.
• Host a Flagship Event
• Organize Ad-hoc Meetups
• Increase Outreach and Attendance for committee member presence and participation at ULI programs.
