ULI Triangle Committees
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (DEI)
The Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee strives to promote racial diversity and advocacy within the real estate and land use sector. We recognize, and embrace, that the members of our organization as well as the community we serve, have evolved into a rich mosaic of people from diverse cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds. As an organization, we need to better understand and educate ourselves on the broader issues of diversity, history of racial equity and social disparities as it relates to our industry. ULI focuses on building healthy communities and we must understand how these areas work together as a whole to achieve long term progress.
Renee Jones (Chair)
Housing Action Committees
ULI Triangle’s Action Committees gather members who have a specific passion and knowledge on an important regional topic, with the broad goal of providing leadership to our communities on the specific topic. Each Action Committee will provide a venue to gather, brainstorm, share ideas, and discuss relevant sub-topics and trends. Additionally, each Action Committee will seek to identify ways that the District Council can provide leadership, research, and/or education in our Triangle communities.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for expanding and maintaining ULI membership in the Triangle and eastern North Carolina. It is also responsible for furthering the diversity of ULI Triangle membership by continuing to actively recruit all sectors of the real estate development community (public and private sector). In addition, the Committee will identify and develop new member engagement products and/or programs.
Matt Chambers (Chair)
Programming Committee
The mission of the Programming Committee is to conceptualize, plan, and produce ULI Triangle’s educational member-only round table programs. The goal is to provide a menu of educational topics that are relevant and diverse—from project specific successes and lessons learned to discussions on areas of ULI’s policy and practice initiatives.
Andy Greenberg (Co-Chair) Greg McNamara (Co-Chair)
Sponsorship Committee
Sixty-five percent of ULI Triangle’s budget comes from our Annual Sponsorship Campaign. Sponsorship allows ULI Triangle to host free member-only events, keep fees low for larger events and support community outreach. The Sponsorship Committee develops and implements the annual sponsorship plan and builds relationships with Triangle supporters.
Morgan Beam (Chair)
Transportation & Infrastructure Action Committees
The Transportation & Land Use Committee creates opportunities for professionals with a variety of backgrounds and experience to share and expand their knowledge of transportation and land use issues and to enhance community understanding of the integral relationship between transportation and land use decisions. Our Transportation & Infrastructure Committee is considered one of our ULI Action Committees. They gather members who have a specific passion and knowledge on an important regional topic, with the broad goal of providing leadership to our communities on the specific topic. Each Action Committee will provide a venue to gather, brainstorm, share ideas, and discuss relevant sub-topics and trends. Additionally, each Action Committee will seek to identify ways that the District Council can provide leadership, research, and/or education in our Triangle communities.

UrbanPlan for Public Officials
UrbanPlan for Public Officials is an engaging workshop that convenes local decision makers for an interactive dialogue about the fundamental forces that affect the built environment and the important leadership roles that elected and appointed officials play.
Jason Rivera (Chair)
UrbanPlan for Universities
UrbanPlan for Universities aims to develop land use professionals–developers, planners, architects, investors, and policy makers–who are more sophisticated and effective when they enter the workforce. UrbanPlan moves students from a theoretical and ideological understanding of their discipline to the practical realities and demands of the development team and process. In addition, the module is a challenging team building exercise and introduction to ULI and key leaders in the industry.
Women’s Leadership Initiative Steering Committee (WLI)
The mission of the WLI is expressed in its four primary objectives: promote the advancement of women, throughout their careers, as leaders in the real estate industry; increase the number of women who serve in leadership positions in the real estate industry and in ULI; increase the visibility of women leaders in the real estate industry and in ULI; and increase the number of women who are active ULI Full members, and support the development of young women members as leaders in ULI and in their professions.
