Urban parks have well-understood impacts on cities. Not only do they make cities more attractive and healthier for its citizens, but parks can also spur redevelopment in an area. Moderator Bob Geolas from HR&A will tee up our program by sharing research on the effects of parks and a City of Raleigh representative will provide an overview of Moore Square’s improvements and the city’s vision for the surrounding area. The panel discussion will explore how the neighboring businesses and transit center plan to leverage the investments and what possible redevelopment opportunities exist in the adjoining and nearby parcels.
