June 16, 2014
ULI Triangle’s recent event, Abundant Access: Public Transit as a Tool for Freedom, featured keynote Jarrett Walker, international consultant in public transit planning and policy and author of Human Transit: How clear thinking about public transit can enrich our communities and our lives.
Jarrett has written and worked extensively on the integration of public transit into community planning at all scales, from the design of small developments to the structure of an urban region. His work covers the entire spectrum of planning perspectives, from visionary urbanism to operational detail.
A captivating and entertaining speaker, Jarrett is able to present transit choices and concepts in a way that connects deeply with the goals that animate a region or city.
We are pleased to be able to offer a video recording of the event via RTN for those who could not make it to the event and for attendees who would like to revisit Jarrett’s fresh perspective on transit.
